Miscibilité des huiles et des épaississeurs
Il faut toujours faire preuve de prudence lors du mélange de différents lubrifiants. D'une part, les huiles lubrifiantes et les huiles de base ainsi que les épaississeurs utilisés dans les graisses peuvent être incompatibles (voir les tableaux 1 et 2). D'autre part, l'effet des additifs et la capacité de performance des mélanges de lubrifiants ne peuvent être estimés sans que les tests appropriés soient effectués.
Si les conditions techniques rendent impossible d'éviter que les lubrifiants ne se mélangent, le risque qui doit être attendu en termes de réduction des performances et d'incompatibilité des lubrifiants peut au moins être estimé à l'aide des tableaux. Dans de tels cas, il est généralement recommandé de demander l'avis d'experts en lubrifiants, par exemple, du département de technologie des lubrifiants de Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG.
